Bike Me kan stolt presentera Milani i vårat sortiment! Milani är en italiensk cykeltillverkare med anor från 1927. Fabriken startades av Natale Mlani. Efter att ha avslutat sin egen karriär som tävlingscyklist började han bygga cyklar under märket Milani. Fram till 1979 bygde Milani ramar av högsta kvalitet i stål och aluminium. När sonen Celeste tog över företaget så fortsatte produktionen i samma hantverksmässiga traditionen men produktionen breddades till att även omfatta carbon. Alla Milanicyklar är handbyggda och idag omfattar produktionen allt från moderna prestandacyklar i carbon för tävling till retrocyklar i stål.

The origins of the Milani brand go back a long way , to 1927, the year in which the brothers Milani of Gallarate, all racing cyclists (independent and professional), the eldest Giuseppe good co-equipier in the team Bianchi with Mara, Piemontesi, Crippa, Morelli ecc.) Natale, also a good independent with Viscontea team co-equipier of Cino Cinelli, Ricci, Casola, Canavesi) good legs and good craftman’s hands, coupled with an endless passion for racing cycles and for cycling in general, started building made to measure frames, in steel, perfectly constructed down to the last detail, with, superb finishings: veritable jewels perfect for racing on.
In the early 1920s, just after the First World War, our region, northern Lombardy was a forge of ideas, industrial workshop and both industrial and textile manufactories. In this exciting atmosphere Milani conceived his frames and bikes owning at that time a second brand less racing and more tourist and commuters called “La Bersagliera”
It’s veritable that Natale Milani, due to his experience during the II World War serving the Italian Royal Aviation as flying engineer, brought his knowledge into building the first cycles frames in aluminium,in the late 1940s.
Today, Milani still produces frames designed, conceived and created entirely in Italy, by hand, with the same fine craftmanship which characterized the firm’s origins, but also paying great attention to the ongoing evolution of materials, from steel to aluminium alloy and carbon fibre.
All our frames are tesetd and certificated from the University of Udine, Institute of Mechanical Engineering ”A.Malignani”, not only to give a certificate of quality for our prospective customers, but also for our mission as a Company, always looking at excellence in the name of a Made in Italy product.
It is also clear that the today commercial vision is totally different than in the 1930s: at that time and till the 1980s all the production of cycles frames were concentrated between Lombardy and Veneto. Specially in Lombardy there were many workshops of framebuilders, normally producing frames for third parties, being unknown to the general public. Also Milani produced top end frames in steel Cr-Mo in the 1970s and 1980s for companies such: Cinelli, Guerciotti, Taurus, Fassi, Fiat France, Speed Cross, Sempion, Guarini, Pavarin, Romeo, Mara,RollMar, VeloForma, ecc ecc.,
